Terms & Conditions
Last Updated: 17 July 2026
Welcome to WASD Computers. These Terms & Conditions govern the sale of products and services provided by WASD Computers Pty Ltd ("WASD Computers", "we", "our" or "us") through our retail store, website and other sales channels.
By purchasing products or services from WASD Computers, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
These Terms do not limit or exclude any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
1. General
WASD Computers provides computer hardware, software, custom-built computers, repairs, upgrades and related technology products and services.
We reserve the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Any updates will apply to future purchases made after the revised Terms have been published on our website.
2. Pricing
Unless otherwise stated, all prices displayed on our website and in-store include Australian GST.
While every effort is made to ensure pricing and product information are accurate, errors may occasionally occur due to supplier updates, system issues or human error.
If a genuine and material pricing or product-information error occurs, we may contact the customer and offer the option of proceeding at the corrected price or cancelling the affected order before dispatch.
Any payment received for a cancelled item will be refunded in full.
3. Quotes
Unless otherwise stated, written quotations are valid for 7 days from the date issued.
Prices for supplier stock and special-order products may change without notice due to supplier pricing, availability or exchange-rate fluctuations.
Where the price of a quoted special-order item increases before payment is received, the quotation may need to be updated.
4. Orders & Payment
Orders may be placed online, in-store or through other approved methods.
Accepted payment methods may include:
• Credit and debit cards
• EFTPOS
• Bank transfer
• Other payment methods displayed at checkout or approved by WASD Computers
Full payment is required before goods are dispatched unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Ownership of goods remains with WASD Computers until payment has been received in full.
An order submitted through our website is an offer to purchase. Acceptance occurs when WASD Computers confirms the order and, where applicable, dispatches the goods or advises that they are ready for collection.
We may decline or cancel an order before acceptance where stock is unavailable, payment cannot be verified, a pricing error has occurred or we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse.
Where an order is cancelled after payment has been received, the affected payment will be refunded in full.
5. Special Order Items
Products specifically ordered from a supplier for an individual customer are considered Special Order Items.
Special Order Items generally require payment in full before the order is placed with the supplier.
As these products are sourced specifically for an individual customer, change-of-mind cancellations, exchanges or refunds may not be available.
This restriction applies only to change-of-mind requests and does not limit any rights or remedies available for faulty, unsafe, misdescribed or otherwise non-compliant goods under the Australian Consumer Law.
Estimated supplier lead times are provided as a guide only and cannot be guaranteed.
6. Custom-Built Computers
Custom-built computers are assembled according to the specifications agreed with the customer.
Payment in full, or an agreed deposit, may be required before components are allocated, ordered or assembly begins.
Estimated completion times are provided as a guide only and may be affected by component availability, supplier delays, testing requirements or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Once components have been ordered or allocated, or assembly has commenced, change-of-mind cancellations or configuration changes may not be available.
Where a change-of-mind cancellation or configuration change is approved, the customer may be responsible for reasonable costs already incurred by WASD Computers, including supplier restocking fees, non-refundable special-order items, additional labour and replacement components.
Any requested configuration changes must be approved by WASD Computers. Additional parts, labour or supplier costs must be paid before the change is completed.
WASD Computers may substitute a component only where the originally agreed component becomes unavailable and only after obtaining the customer’s approval. Any substitute component will be of equivalent or better suitability unless otherwise agreed.
Custom-built computers are tested before collection or dispatch. Testing and preparation may include hardware diagnostics, operating-system installation, driver installation, firmware updates and stability testing where applicable.
Nothing in this section limits any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
7. Repairs and Technical Services
Repairs, diagnostics, upgrades and other technical services are subject to our separate Repair Terms & Conditions, which are provided at the time a device is booked in or before work commences.
Customers must disclose any relevant faults, damage, passwords, encryption, prior repairs or other information that may affect the service.
Repair timeframes and quotations are estimates only and may change where additional faults, parts requirements or other issues are identified during diagnosis.
Customers are responsible for maintaining a current backup of important data before submitting a device for service. Certain repairs, diagnostics or software work may result in the loss of data, settings or installed applications.
Nothing in this section or our Repair Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
8. Product Information
We make every reasonable effort to ensure product descriptions, specifications, pricing and images are accurate.
However:
• Product images may differ slightly from the supplied product.
• Manufacturers may revise product specifications without notice.
• Packaging may vary.
• Colours displayed on a screen may differ from the actual product.
Stock quantities and availability may change without notice. Products are not reserved or allocated until an order has been accepted and any required payment has been received.
Supplier availability displayed on our website is indicative only and does not guarantee immediate availability until the order has been confirmed by WASD Computers.
Where an item becomes unavailable after an order has been submitted, we will contact the customer to offer an alternative product, a revised timeframe or a full refund for the unavailable item.
9. Product Compatibility
Customers should confirm product compatibility before purchase.
Where WASD Computers provides compatibility advice, that advice is based on the information supplied by the customer and the product information reasonably available at the time.
WASD Computers is not responsible for compatibility issues caused by inaccurate, incomplete or misleading information supplied by the customer.
Nothing in this section excludes liability where goods or advice fail to meet applicable consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.
10. Software & Digital Products
Software licences, activation keys and digital products cannot generally be returned once they have been supplied, revealed, downloaded or activated.
This does not limit any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
11. Liability and Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
To the extent permitted by law, WASD Computers is not responsible for loss caused by:
• Misuse, neglect or accidental damage
• Unauthorised modification or repair
• Incorrect installation performed by another party
• Failure to follow manufacturer instructions
• Inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by the customer
Where liability may lawfully be limited, our liability will be limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.
