Other repairs, upgrades and technical services are quoted after assessment. Replacement parts are charged separately unless included in the quote.

How the Repair Process Works

1. Bring It In

Visit our Mayfield store during opening hours. No appointment is required.

2. Join the Queue

Your computer is added to our first-in, first-served workshop queue once booked in and the diagnostic fee is paid.

3. Diagnosis

We inspect and test the system to identify the likely fault.

4. Findings and Approval

We contact you with our findings and obtain approval before additional chargeable work.

5. Repair and Testing

Approved repairs are completed and the computer is tested.

6. Collection

We contact you when the computer is ready. Any outstanding balance is payable before collection.

Workshop Queue and Timeframes

Repair timeframes depend on the current workshop queue, the complexity of the fault, parts availability and the amount of testing required.

Jobs are generally assessed in the order they are received. Straightforward repairs may be completed quickly, while intermittent faults or jobs requiring ordered parts may take longer.

Any timeframe provided is an estimate. We will contact you if there is a significant delay or further approval is required.

Before Bringing In Your Computer

Where possible, please bring:

• The computer or laptop
• The laptop charger or any unusual power adapter
• Any passwords required to access Windows
• Relevant recovery keys or encryption details
• Details of the problem and when it occurs
• Any accessories directly related to the fault

Desktop customers generally do not need to bring monitors, keyboards, mice or standard power cables unless the issue may involve those items.

Please tell us if the device contains important files or if you require a backup before any work is performed.

Data and Backups

Customers are responsible for maintaining a current backup of important data before submitting a computer for service.

Hardware failure, malware, storage replacement, Windows installation and other repair work may result in the loss of files, programs, settings or saved passwords.

Please advise us during booking if you require a data backup or transfer.

Backup and data-recovery work may involve additional charges and successful recovery cannot be guaranteed from a failing or damaged storage device.
